Design Goal
The objective was to create a VR Architectural Pre-Visualization and Sales app for a New York-based developer of luxury real estate properties.
The requirement was to develop a design and 3D modeling workflow and pipeline that would efficiently produce near-photorealistic, high-end real estate project interiors in Unreal Engine 5 from architect’s blueprints, BIMs and CAD drawings.
The client’s business case was to enable their sales team to provide virtual guided tours of digital twins of their buyers’ finished and furnished properties while those projects were still in the blueprints stage.
The design challenge was to enable the development of near-photo real models in UE5 with Lumin realtime lighting, at scale and efficiently that were performative and at the highest level of resolution that the client’s existing HTC Vive Pro headsets would support.
